Our deluxe double rain barrel potting bench is built with two 53 gallon rain barrels. The primary rain barrel should be connected to a downspout with the Aunt Molly's diverter (shown above), which is supplied with the potting bench. The second rain barrel is connected to the primary rain barrel with a connector hose, and fills automatically at the same time as the primary rain barrel. The two potting platforms are built with western red cedar, and each is approximately 36" tall, 21" wide and 78" long. Plants can be watered with water from the spigot of either rain barrel. The deluxe double barrel potting bench comes standard with a working pitcher pump. The pitcher pump can access 106 gallons of water while remaining in the same position on the original rain barrel. The pitcher pump can be positioned on the left or the right side of the potting bench. The deluxe double rain barrel potting bench also comes with a 29" wide by 21" deep by 19" tall cedar cold frame with 8 MM twin wall polycarbonate panels. The lid can be raised during the day, and lowered at night. An optional adjustable automatic thermal opener can be ordered, which will open the lid when it gets too hot and close it when it gets too cold.
We designed this potting bench and the elevated gardens, (coming soon), shown below, for the avid senior citizen gardener, as well as the physically challenged men and woman, who find it difficult, if not impossible, to work in a garden at ground level. The height, and the open area underneath, makes access easy for persons confined to wheel chairs.

If you have wanted a rain barrel, but also want a potting bench, now you can have both with one purchase!!! The Single Rain Barrel potting bench is built with a recycled 53 gallon food grade barrel, and western red cedar. It is approximately 36" tall, 22" wide and 54" long. The rain barrel connects to the downspout with the Aunt Molly's automatic downspout diverter, supplied with the potting bench. With the Aunt Molly's automatic diverter, installed, when your rain barrel is full, the rest of the rain water is directed back thru the down spout. The potting bench can be installed with the rain barrel on the left, or on the right. Plants can be watered from the spigot on the rain barrel. We designed our potting benches, and our elevated gardens, (coming soon), shown below, for the avid senior citizen gardener, as well as for the physically challenged men and woman, who find it difficult, if not impossible, to work in a garden at ground level. All of Aunt Molly's barrel
products are made from re-cycled food grade barrels. These plastic recycled
barrels have traveled many thousands of miles, and even though we have
thoroughly cleaned them inside and out, and applied several coats of a UV
polish, they may still have some small scratches and scrapes. These
scratches and scrapes do not effect the water tight integrity of the rain
barrels. This should be considered as part of the "character" of the recycled
rain barrels. These barrels came into the country from Greece, Spain, Egypt,
India and Argentina, filled with olives, peppers, pickles, mixed vegetables and
many other exotic food products.
Aunt Molly has kept these empty barrels out of landfills by turning them into
useful products for your homes and gardens. Although Aunt Molly's rain
barrels come in many different colors, they are all VERY GREEN
products.
